Kanae Shimokawa (下川 香苗 Shimokawa Kanae, born January 1, 1964 in Japan[1]) is a Japanese author known best for writing light novels.

Collaborations with Ai YazawaEdit

Shimokawa has adapted many of Yazawa's manga series into light novels. She wrote the Gokinjo Monogatari: Fashionable Love Story novels from 1995 to 1998. In 1997, she released Orufeusu wa Sen no Tsubasa o Motsu, which Ai Yazawa illustrated. Later Shimokawa wrote the novelization of the Kagen no Tsuki film.
